I just changed the toilet seat cover all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I know…….I should be single-female of the year…….REEEEEALLY!!!
Okay……this dang toilet seat lid broke like 6 months ago cause Cassidy slammed it a bit too hard one day. I have been putting it off thinking I could coax one of my male relatives into replacing it for me. I meant to have Shane do it the last time he was here even but somehow it got pushed aside. I spaced. Anyway…..I finally did it myself! YAY!!! Took a trip to Home Depot tonight and it’s all good to go!!!
I was thinking tonight how I really need to throw a big shin-dig at my place at least every 6 months or so. It seems this is the only way that those things around the house get done that really should be done on a monthly or quarterly basis!!! I am soooooo flipping excited about Shane coming into town on Friday. I have been busy trying to get my house in order so I can enjoy our time together while he’s here. My family and friends are coming over on Saturday night for the barbeque. (Oh crap! Better make sure the BBQ grill actually works!!!) My mom hasn’t even met Shane yet…….so sad! Anyway…..this is lame but I came up with a TOP 10 list of reasons you should throw a party at least every six months!!! Here goes!
1. The air vents actually get changed and dusted.
2. Carpets get cleaned. ( ummmmm…still working on this…may or may not happen)
3. The oven get’s cleaned out.
4. The kids DVD’s get organized in their little space in the entertainment center.
5. Pictures get framed and hung you’ve been meaning to take care of for MONTHS!!!!
6. Empty flower pots actually get flowers planted in them.
7. The fridge gets wiped down inside and out!
8. Front door mat gets replaced.
9. Microwave gets cleaned out.
10. (My personal fave) Your broken toilet seat cover gets replaced.

Your top 10 sound exactly how mine would look, but my hubby is around. I’m left to take care of much of the house junk and I just let it go more than not. the carpet cleaning is tops on my list though but I just don’t know if it is worth it or not, Nathan hasn’t been potty trained yet.
