Where do I start?

First off! I PROMISE I am working on getting a routine down again so I can get back to blogging every couple of days! I have been working like a mad woman this week while the girls are in Charlotte, NC visiting Tom for Spring Break. We meet him outside of Atlanta today to get the girls back. It’s been a LONG week without them. I miss them like crazy!

So the house is offically unpacked! YAY!! Photos up on walls, home deco stuff out and up…..and YES…EVEN my scrap area is unpacked, set-up and ready to go! I even created a lil’ sumpin-sumpin’ yesterday for my new DT Gig over at the Triple the Sketch blog. Be sure and check in over there on April 4th for the first Sketch ever! It’s gonna be tons o’ fun!!

Okay…..BABY UPDATE!!!

There isn’t one.

Yes….that sucks I know. LOL

Shane and I went to my apt. on Thursday and I was dialated to a whole ONE cm. WHOOOPEE! My regular Doctor will be back in town this week though so I am hoping he will be fine with getting something scheduled for the following week. He doesn’t want me to go full-term based on how big my babies get so that part is good. But I am actually feeling pretty good at this point which is different than with the girls. I was bawling like a baby by this time before because it hurt so bad just to carry them the last few weeks. Maybe I just haven’t had time to think about it this time around. On some more baby news….
BrodyWreath1 1BrodyWreath2 ….check out this adorable wreath! Shane’s best friend’s wife made this for me!!! I am so excited about it! I guess it’s a tradition at all the hospitals here in Mississippi to have a wreath hung on your birthing/delivery room door that has baby’s name and a welcome message on it! The photos really don’t do it justice, Christy did an AMAZING job on it and it is HUGE!!! It looks small but it’s NOT! LOL Thanks again Christy!

What else?

CassSchoolProgram1CassSchoolProgram2 Here are a couple of pictures I took of Cassidy’s Kindergarten program that was the Thursday night before Spring break. She only had a week to learn all the songs for this but was totally excited to get to be apart of it since she missed hers in AZ. I was in tears like a big boob. I can’t believe how big she has gotten. She’s not a “Baby” anymore…all grown up! In the first photo you can find her in the bottom row almost right in the middle. She has braids in. And in the second photo she’s in the right group, second row from the top…first kid! LOVE IT!!! She’s loving her new school as are Bailee and Macey. I’m going to go have lunch in the cafeteria at school this coming week with each of them before Brody comes and I am tied to the house for a little while. They each have seperate lunch times so it will be fun. I wasn’t able to do those kinds of things with my girls while doing daycare in Arizona. I’m happy!!!!

Okay….lastly….here are a few photos of our new house and some of the neighborhood around us. I have been soaking in the scenery here like a sponge. This is pure heaven to me. Don’t get me wrong, stucco, cactus and desert landscaping are cool but the trees and grass and the amazing homes you see EVERYWHERE out here will take your breath away! I plan on posting more photos as I get more familiar with the area and can venture out a bit but getting unpacked and settled in has obviously been the priority. HA! House1House2TheHood1TheHood2TheHood3 ALrighty! I better get going! Gotta get ready to hit the road to get the girls! YAY! I hope this finds everyone well and you have a Happy, Blessed Easter. Shane and I are feeling so very grateful right now that we are able to have our little family all together this Easter Sunday. We’ve been working on this goal for what seems like forever. I miss my family in AZ and it’s weird knowing we will be missing out on the BIG family get togethers. Love you guys! Enjoy each other this Easter Sunday!

Very nice homes! I think what I love so much about the South is the lack of fences and walls. It struck me as odd when I first noticed it, but I find it neat now. It is kinda like “y’all” are one big family…not that you need any help with the big family!!!

Congrats on the unpacking/getting settled in! That is a HUGE task…

Wow, love that wreath! She did do an amazing job! And that is why I miss South Carolina SO much and we go home every summer!!! There is NOTHING as beautiful as the south! :) Enjoy, and can’t wait for a baby update next week. Hang in there girl! Hugs, and have a Blessed Easter!

OHMYGOSH! I kept checking your blog to see if you were online yet. It seemed like forever! So I am so relieved and happy to see TWO updates in the past week!!

Dang Shanna, we miss you out here. I am happy to hear that you are doing so well with the move, are settled in, the girls love their school and everything. that really is awesome news!

The water tower photo on the last entry made me laugh. I saw those all over when we went to Kentucky/Ohio. It’s such a strange thing to us out here huh? Oh, and the greeeeeen. Real trees… everything.

Thank goodness for the internet. You don’t feel as far away now.

Hey, but do you have a Sonic?

  4. Nicole Says:

I missed your blog too (even though I haven’t been online much - too busy working!), I can imagine how your new neighborhood looks like… Typically southern, I wish I was living there too and not up north here!

  5. Teri Says:

Originally from the south…I didn’t even realize that I was missing the water towers!!! How funny. I miss seeing the southern ‘mansions’ too. It’s amazing how we acclimate to our surroundings and basically just adapt.

And yeah, *do* you have a Sonic? I know that the south does have them just not sure if there is one in your area. =)

Good to have you back, at least in blog land. LOL

  6. Dianne Says:

    Happy Easter to ya’all. LOL
So glad you back in blogland. The wreath is really adorable.
your homes are so different with the wide open spaces, unlike ours in South Africa that have these huge walls around that u can’t see in.
Best you wait for your Dr to get back before you go into labour. Can’t wait for those first pics of Baby Brody.

  7. Maddy Says:

Aww, I love the pictures of your house. Does the school know how much trouble little Cassidy is ;p And I love the wreath tradition. I wish I lived somewhere with tradition!

  8. Brooke Says:

Isn’t the south wonderful? Its so different then AZ! And yes you have to have a wreath on your hospital door… its a southern tradition!

  9. Sara Says:

So glad to see you’re posting again….thought the baby came early. You must be so happy to have the house all unpacked & ready to go with the baby! So happy for you!! Love the wreath & the idea of having it on the hospital door! So fun!!

Loved the pictures of Cassie in her class. She is so adorable! Glad the girls got home ok with no storms this time. Your home and the area around it looks so peaceful and green. I can see why the girls love it there. Loved the baby wreath and good luck next week!

  15. AZAnjanette Says:

how crazy to live in a place with so many trees. That big white mansion is really something. Thanks for posting. When I see big houses like that I always wonder….’what do those people DO for a living’…SIGN ME UP…LOL.
That was a really sweet wreath. How cute. I just love the name ‘Brody’. He is going to be a sweet baby. Just you wait and see. Boys are definitely different. My little man gives kisses but only when he wants to. If he doesn’t want a smooch, he will turn his little head.

  16. Amy Says:

Ok seriously!! Whats up with the teaser?? JK!! Hurry and get your MR. Man out of ya so we can finally meet him!! LOL!! Love the surrounding area around you. GORGEOUS. Is it hot there yet?? UGH!!! The wreath is so cute too!! :o)

  17. Sarah Says:

I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now…I grew up in Mississippi. I’ve been to Madison many times. I’m enjoying watching you discover that sweet little town. God bless.
