Weekend Update

So it’s been a busy one. Saturday was full of the usual household chores. It seems I haven’t been home too much on the weekends the last 4 months so I have gotten behind on a few things. But finally around 5pm the girls and I got out of the house to play! They have been asking for another dog forever. I can’t do pets. I just can’t. Maybe when they get older it will be an option. I just can’t add one more thing to care for to the list. When I am gone on the weekends I don’t have the girls….I don’t want to have to worry about getting a pet-sitter. LOL Good thing their Dad has dogs. They can visit them. Until the time comes for us to get one here…..I found these adorable plush puppy dogs at Macy’s last week. Part of the proceeds go the the Breast Cancer Research. They each have the pink breast cancer ribbons embroidered in their paws. Too cute! So…..when I gave the girls these stuffed puppies on Thursday night I told them we could take a trip to Pet Smart and they could pick out their dog a collar and get a name tag engraved for it. Here’s a few photos. The pet store is always a fun place for a kid. We must have been in there an hour at least. Once the girls picked out their collars we checked out the mice, gerbils, birds, dogs, cats, fish, reptiles and even watched some kind of dog get groomed. Good times. So an hour and $50.00 bucks later we now have official new members of our family…..of the stuffed variety. LOL Bailee’s dog is a BOY named Buddy! Check out her “Bad to the Bone” collar……she LOVES it! Then there is Macey’s little girl Dog named “Maggie” And finally Cassidy’s dog is named Trixie. …….. Quite the pretty penny to spend on our new pet accessories. (watching the tags get engraved was cool!) but not as much money as “live” pets would cost me. I think I’ve dodged that bullet for now. They were all very excited. So, done with the pet store and off to dinner. SO we thought. Didn’t make it inside before Cassidy was getting sick in the parking lot. She would get sick at least four more times before 5am Sunday morning. Right about the time Bailee would start in. Yes, Saturday night was not fun. Oh the joys of parenthood. Can’t believe Macey stayed well……she’s usually the first to get sick. Anyway, here it is Monday morning and everyone is back to normal. Weird stomach problems this weekend. Bailee sat around pretty much all day Sunday. We hung out at my Grandparent’s house and had lunch to celebrate the baby blessings of my brother’s twins and their daughter Molly. It was a good day to see that happen and watch my bro bless his kiddos. Here’s a photo I snapped of their family! Very cute!

…………….Well, only three more days until the girls and I are on a plane to Mississippi. They are stoked. Very cool. Lots to do before we leave. This week will go fast for that reason! Hopefully I can sneak a little scrapping in before we leave! Have a great week everyone! :)

We had the stomach bug thing too. I got it last Sunday night, my 19 mo dd, got it this past Thursday night, and my 4 yo dd, got it Sat. night. My dh and I had to play tag team at church. He is ward clerk and has meetings starting at 6:30 am, then he came home at 8:30 so I could make copies and pass out Primary Program parts (I was 1st counselor until a couple weeks ago and had to finish the program) then I went home so Loran could substitute for the Elder’s quorum lesson, then we traded again so I could be there for the setting apart of my new counselors (I just got put in as YW pres). Fortunately the excused Loran from doing tithing and his other after church meetings. What a day!

Oh the joys of parenthood!! Hate it when the kids are sick!!

I love the idea of the stuffed dogs!!! How cute to go get them collars & stuff!! Of course, I don’t need the idea, having 3 dogs all between the 80-130 pds. range, but I’m passing on the idea!! And yes being gone for a weekend sucks, paying the dog sitter is crazy!!!!!!!!

Have A Good Week and Can’t WAIT to hear how Mississippi was!!! Have Fun!!!

We have been sick as well! My 5 mo ds had it on Thursday, I thought it was something I had ate. But then my 4yo dd got it on Saturday morning. Worst thing yet though is she is in California with my Dad, Mom and brother and sister to go to Legoland and Sea World. Thankfully it only lasts a day! I got it on Saturday night!!! YUCK!!!
Hope you have a ball in Mississippi! Can’t wait to see the pictures!!

Love the picture of Ryan’s family. I wish i could have been there for that. Although I would most likely have brought that bug home with me. Glad you are all well again.

Tell the girls I love the names they picked out for their dogs!

Ryan and most of his soccer team had that bug last weekend. From what I heard, it wasn’t an easy one, either. Blech.

The puppies are too cute! What a great idea to get collars for them! :)

Cute pictures of the girls. I always think of cute dog layouts when I see scrap things, but we have no dog. I think you have solved the problem!

When the girls wear you down and you are FORCED to get a pet, hamsters are pretty darn easy! They can go 2 weeks with you being gone (at least) and are pretty cute. They also make EXCELLENT dogs for Barbie dolls!
