I ♥ this vintage photo of my Grandma and her family. Believe it or not it’s actually a painting. My Grandma’s brother Robert who was in the service at the time met a man who painted using separate photos of each of them to create this big family photo! Is it amazing or what? I have this in an 8×10 frame and I actually printed a copy and scrapped it yesterday. My Grandma is in the bottom row in the center, her parents in the middle, and of course the rest of her siblings. They are all such beautiful people. Only my Grandma & her sisters (bottom row) are still alive today. I talk to my Grandma all the time and she’s one of my best friends. Lucky me! ♥
This page was actually inspired by a challenge over at A Million Memories to use lace & a vintage photo on a layout. Of course when I saw it I knew exactly what I would do and even which papers I would scrap with! I’ve had this Webster’s Pages paper for a while now and just needed the perfect photo! Anyway…. I have been somewhat shocked this week at an announcement made over at my online scrappy home Create My Keepsake. They will be closing their doors the end of August for personal/family reasons. I totally respect Lisa’s decision. It must have been a difficult one. But I have really gotten to know a lot of online scrappy girlfriends there and I visited there daily for almost two years. It will be hard to see it go. Thank goodness a lot of the CMK girls are heading to one place so I can still keep in touch! That’s how I happened on A Million Memories this week! Come join in the fun as we all get set settled in and try to make it our new online home. I love it so far!
Alrighty! better get going! OH!! And I updated my other blog with some more YW’s handout creations this week if you need some ideas! It’s been a fun way to keep track of them and share with others too! Have a great weekend!

I was totally shocked by the announcement of CMK’s closing!! It had to be a hard decision for Lisa (she used to be my DT coordinator at Back Porch Memories and she left to take over CMK). I do wish her the best!
Lovely layout and I’ll have to pop in over at AMM. I have an account there, but don’t go by often. They do have some amazing talent there

I love this layout, Shanna! When I saw it this morning, I wondered about this picture– very cool idea!
I was really sad about CMK, too. I’m glad the CMK members posted where they’ll be going so we can still keep in touch.

Following my own analysis, millions of people in the world get the loan at well known banks. So, there’s good possibilities to find a college loan in any country.
