The other day, Jodi and I were driving in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or the Appalachian Mountains, or the Smokey Mountains. I’m not sure. It was one of those Mountains where the really scary monkey people live. Anyway, this car goes by, and it has one of those “My kid is…” bumper stickers on it. It was something like “My kid is student of the month at Squirrel Grits Elementary School.” I don’t know whether she saw a child in the backseat flapping its wings or what, but all of a sudden Jodi just blurts out, “That’s right! Out of all the youngins with cross eyes and webbed feet, mine’s the best!” This is why I married her. You can’t put a price on that.
