Okay…..I know this is wrong but I am totally going to bribe you guys in order to get some serious feedback! I need help! I am getting my hair cut and colored on this Saturday at 5pm and I am getting nervous/excited because I am going to do something waaaaaay different and drastic to my hair!!! It is getting soooo long and it drives me nuts. It’s always pulled back unless I am going out somewhere special….which is rare.
Anyway….I REALLY want to go mostly blonde instead of brunette. I like this color on this Olson twin(click to enlarge)….can’t tell which one she is LOL. I am for sure going to have them cut a lot of my length off but still keep it just below my shoulders so I can pull it back and be lazy when needed.
I really like my hair straight sometimes too but as long as it is right now it takes FOREVER to do it! I guess what I am looking for is some feedback on this hair-do thing!!! Help me decide what to do! Any suggestions??? As far as bribing you for feedback……anyone who posts their opinion….good or bad is going to get their name put in a drawing to win one of my handpainted snowman ornaments. And in case you forgot what he looks like I posted him here! Come on now…..tell me whatcha think!!! ![]()

Hey There Girlie Girl,
GO FOR IT! I totally think you should do it. I recently went RED. I didn’t like it at first, so I added some more blonde lights, and now I LOVE IT! I also cut all my hair off to just above the shoulder. (Mara is pulling hair now, so it’s so much nicer)!!!
Let me know, I think you would be beautiful with either color, but GO BLONDE!
Love ya,
Jewels
PS - BLONDES HAVE MORE FUN! Or, so I’ve been told.

I think that your super blonde hair would attract even more hot young men..so I am all for it! I personally love that twins hair..I would love to have it myself..its a great look and a great color! You have the personality to pull it off anyways!
Get a nice shaggy cute..you know the ones that look good even after 4 hours at the beach..and that color

I saw go for it! You can always reverse it, if need be. Try RED! I for one love RED! Although they say blondes have more fun. Just remember you can always tone it down if you don’t like it. Of course this is coming from someone who dyed their hair with peroxide in high school & has a mother who is a hairdresser.

Go for it. I was thinking of doing this myself. If only I had the extra cash I probably would do. My blonde hair is fading away and I miss it. I love how the blonde hair brightens up the twin’s face.

Why did I respond to this again?

Careful Ryan you could have a lot of Shanna’s friends jumping on your back.
Shanna, I think you should gradually go blonde. I prefer you as a brunette. Don’t you remember high school? And I love your hair curly. If you straighten it I agree you should get alot cut off. I think that cut would be awesome. It is the one I went with and am loving it. However, my curl doesn’t look anything like hers so I always wear it straight. Maybe you will have better luck!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the blonde. Being a natural blonde myself, I always take a little help in the winter to make it look like I just got back from the beach! So I give you a big thumbs up for going blonde, as far as getting it cut off, my continuing theory on that is this “it is only hair and it will grow back, and quickly, so it you don’t like the cut, wait a few weeks and you will have an entirely different one!” Good luck!!!

Okay here is my exceptionally valued and most humble opinion. I think the straight idea is fabulous!!! I would go a carmel color with blonde highlights in it. Then later on when it gets warmer, you can go to a more dramatic blonde without such the whammy of a change. You will obviously have to post the results so good luck to you. I won’t get to get my hair cut and colored until next month, so I will live my life through you! Woo Hoo!

Hi Shanna, IMHO…….I think the shoulder length you referred to would be perfect (not too short to pull back if you want, but not to long to bug you). Possibly a few layers in it would work too, that way you could grab a quick flat iron and in a matter of mere minutes (or less) you could flip it up or under or just plain straight…..very stylish of course. Color………I think I’d ease into it with alot of blonde highlight….heavy on the highlights if you are wanting to really bring that blonde forward……..then eventually you could slip right in to all blonde if you wanted. Heavy highlights seem to be the big thing now, so you’d be right in style yet again!
Whatever you do, I’m sure it’ll look great! HTH…

Hi Shanna, i am a retired hairdresser (not that that means anything ha ha) but i bet you would look neat with some layering, softens up the longer hair and little past you shoulders to be able to still tie it up when you wanted and to keep from doing the roots all the time( that gets to be a pain) get a heavy highlight of a couple different blondes to make it glissen…..
As i seen on Oprah..i person needs to get out of there comfort zone..and get into this century ha ha…i’m doing that more and more with make up and everything…we just get to used to ourselves looking ONE way…i am trying to get out of my comfort zone..let us know what you did and a picture before and after would be wonderful……
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Look what you made me do Shanna! I had to come out of lurk mode for the chance to win one of those awesome snowmen!!
As far as the haircut goes I love the style on that Olsen twin! I do think you could go blonde as well but maybe do a more golden tone than she has and maybe even some red highlights mixed in, what do you think?

Holly Says:
I think her hair looks great.. It all depends on what you are looking for as well.. If you know you want something similar to this then what the heck GO FOR IT!! For sure.. I dont see why not.. You only live onces and if you try it just once you will know next time NOT to do it again if you dont like it.. IF you like it then you can continue until your tired of it.. I love the hair style she has and if I could get mine to look that good Id go for it ! however, my skin ton is nothing like hers..
Good luck!!

I think that haircut is adorable. However, I think if it was me I would gradually go light. I always try to keep my hair a little darker with blonde highlights during the winter and more “beachy” looking in the summer. You would look amazing either way. What the heck… go for it!!!

ok too cute of a haircut, I agree with the last few though especially since I have a little knowledge in the blonde dept. I am always way blonder in summer and more caramel in winter–but it’s a great idea— Ryan cracks me up– we’re not all skanks-well not TOTAL skanks anyway! Youre also bummed about all the snowmen you hv to make now!!! LOL love ya
