SLACKER!

Yes…..that’s me! I have been slackin’ on the bloggin’! But for good reason! It’s been crazy here! We went out of town this weekend for our annual Fleming Family Reunion. This year was extra special because it was the 50th anniversary of this event and it was the first time Shane has been with me! It was a lot of fun! I will edit this post later today and add some photos I took from the weekend. The only way it could have been better is if the girls had been there with us. Their Dad was in town so he had them for the weekend.

SJSketchSillyGirlsResize Look what I can finally share with you! My online buddy Patter writes monthly articles for Scrapjazz.com and she asked me a couple months ago to help her out with her feature for September. She came up with this sketch I have posted and I had to create a layout based on it. It was a lot of fun. Go here to see the article and some other takes on Patter’s sketch. I was excited she asked me to do this because I finally scrapped these photos of the girls I’ve had forever! I never knew what to do with them. Notice anything odd about this layout of mine? Well……I used mostly cardstock! That RARELY happens! LOL I am such a patterned paper freak but I couldn’t make anything work with these photos so I reached for the plain stuff then compensated with a little more rub-ons than normal! I was pretty happy with how it turned out…..it was hard for me to do. LOL

Okay…..this is a REEEEEEEEEEEEALLY exciting week for me! I get to go play here for the 2nd year in a row with my girlfriends come Thursday afternoon. I have soooooooo much to do to prepare for this. I have page swaps and RAKS to put together! I need to get my supplies organized! I have Snickerdoodles to bake!! I need to tie up some child care issues for my girls while I am gone. This week is going to fly! If you don’t hear from me again until Sunday or Monday…..that’s why! But I promise when I come back I will be posting tons of scrappy eye-candy!

Have a great week everyone!!! :)
