Quick Trip to SICK!!!

Soooooo…My girls didn’t have school on Thursday & Friday because of Fall break and my daycare kiddos weren’t here either so I decided to load the 4Runner and hit the road! My sister Deanna and her family just moved to Logan, Utah a few weeks ago so I thought it would be fun to go visit them in their new mansion…eh…um…home. I say mansion because those homes in Utah make our homes in AZ look like the (NWA playing in background)…..the GHETTO!!! And we pay more for less here! I don’t get it. But that’s another post. Anyway, here is a picture of their house but it really doesn’t do it justice when there is like $50,000 worth of upgrades inside. Stunning! Soooo we (me & the girls) finally got to Logan around noon on Friday. But I arrived feeling like CRAP. I guess I got my quarterly Bronchitis infection again. Deanna was all excited for me to have her entire house decorated by the time I left on Sunday but it was all I could do to balance myself on their 20ft ladder to hang a quilt & shelf on the wall above the stairs. Pretty much the only thing I got done for her. Sorry Deanna. Thank goodness my Dad who just bought a house in Ogden (what’s up with my whole Fam Damily moving to Utah?) was up there and drove back down to AZ with me and the girls. As I was in no shape to make that drive myself. I was excited to hook up with Loni while I was there too but didn’t feel good AT ALL!!! I will catch you next month girl!!!

One thing that was AMAZING about Logan as I am sure it’s the same all over Utah is the changing of colors. We have 4 seasons too in AZ but they are Cool, Hot, Hot, & Cool. And pretty much the state looks brown with a touch of green all year round. Here is a photo I took right down the street from Deanna’s house. Hopefully you can see the moon peeking out over the mountains. I wish I would have gotten my Rebel XT before this trip. My current camera sucks in comparison. For those who don’t know….you can actually click on the picture to the left and it will give you an enlarged view. Check out those colors and that mountain. Deanna lives pretty close to the base of it so she has to look at this mountain through her kitchen windows……sucks to be her. I loved it there it was nice but I am also glad to be home safe and sound in my humble abode.

Thanks for coming an trying to get some of my decorating done. And thanks for all the wonderful comments about my home. I do love it here and am really happy. By the way…It was only a 16 foot ladder. I am glad you are feeling better now.
