I don’t know why but I am Loving this morning. Ever feel that way about Monday mornings? Not me. I’m not much of a morning person anyway but make it a Monday and you’ll normally catch me wishing I was still snuggled under my covers. But this morning Shane left for work early, my girls are off at school, my two daycare baby boys came sleepy and are taking a little snooze. It’s just me, the sound of drizzling rain outside and my laundry going. I have accomplished quite a bit already and it’s not even 8am yet. That’s a rare and great feeling! I have a list of “creative things” I want to get done today and it might actually happen if my enthusiasm lingers. We shall see.
So I created a couple of cards this weekend. Card Positioning Systems is looking for a few more designers so I am giving it a shot. This I Heart U card is based on an older sketch of theirs #17. I get so much inspiration from their blog I thought it would be fun to contribute if given the opportunity! Recognize these papers? Yup…..scraps from that layout I did of Cassidy last week! YAY for using up your scraps!!!
…………I am loving this card! Only cause these Making Memories - Garden Party products have been calling out to me! Don’t they just scream Spring? This design was based on the the CPS Sketch #48. Love it. Using sketches on cards makes it easy peasy! I created another pattern to use on this card…..the pocket. I never realize just how crooked and uneven my shapes are until I do an actual line-drawing or pattern with them. HA! Oh well. Of course they are going to look better on your projects!

I got a message from Stella this weekend and she sent me a link to a layout she did using one of my hearts! Check it out here. Thanks Stella! It made me smile!!! Cute card! I haven’t used your templates yet but I have used your idea for the girls art journals. I Made them the other day in record time using some really old stash I thought I’d never use (you can see them on my blog)! My older DD LOVES hers & my little one has fun tearing the pgs out!!
