I hated this morning. Just for the record.
It sucked.
It sucked REALLY bad.
Little Cassidy even hated it.
We dropped Shane off at the airport at 530am. As we drove away Cassidy says, “Mommy, I’m sad.” I ask “Why are you sad Casser?” She says, “I don’t want Shane to leave, I want him to live with us. I’m going to miss him.” Okay…….so as if taking Shane to the airport and saying good-bye after spending all weekend together wasn’t hard enough!!! *sniff-sniff*
The only thing that consoled Cassie, and myself for that matter, is that we get to go out to Mississippi in three weeks! We bought plane tickets for all of us girls to fly out there over fall break while Bailee & Macey are out of school for a few extra days. Cassidy has never been on a plane before so she is stoked beyond belief! My cousin Nadine is going to fill in with my daycare for me again so I can take the girls to meet Shane’s girls and see Mississippi. We are all very excited.
It was a good weekend. Shane and I got a little alone time on Friday night thanks to Taylor my sitter. Then we got up pretty early and headed to the Phoenix Zoo with the girls. That is always a ton of fun! Saturday night we had some family and friends over for a BBQ to hang out and meet Shane if they hadn’t already. That was so nice. Shane is so easy-going and warm. It’s impossible not to fall in love with him. Sunday was awesome! We drove down to Tucson where I met Shane’s sister and brother-in-law for the first time. They were great! They have horses so the girls were in heaven with horsey rides. Bailee & Macey were loving feeding them hay from their hands. Monday morning came too quickly. Shane is still enroute home to MS. I miss him. Doesn’t seem right not to be with him. okay……I’ll stop now. At least life will keep me busy until I see him again.
I am heading up to Prescott to stay at Lisa’s and scrap with her on Friday night & Saturday! Then on Saturday night it’s the ASU vs Oregon State football game! Go Sun Devils!!!
*ETA* It’s been brought to my attention….Thanks FREAK! That the ASU game is a 12:30pm game…….oh the painful choices!!! Scrap with Lisa all day Saturday or leave early for the game???

Oh Man! My weekend was filled with house cleaning and shopping between feedings for the baby. Thank heavens this is a small enough town that I can get everywhere quickly. I am so glad to hear you had a great weekend. Wish I could’ve been at that BBQ with my family. Cassie is so darn cute. Glad she loves Shane so much. All of the girls for that matter.
