Mississippi Photo Share

Finally feeling a bit recovered from our trip to Mississippi. I came home LATE Sunday night with a fever and the aches. My glands were swollen and I felt yucky. I kept the girls home from school on Monday to help me out with the daycare kiddos. They were great. I feel pretty normal again but it was a rough start to my week. Laundry is finally almost caught up. But enough about that. The girls and I had a blast in MS. Our time there flew by waaaaay too quickly. All the girls……Bailee, Macey, Cassidy, Kacie & Karlie got along great and were soooooooooo excited to finally meet each other in person. They were all instant buddies. It made for a fun weekend. I fell in love with Shane a hundred times over as I watched him handle 5 girls and deal with the drama that comes with it sometimes. Nothing major……just the “girl stuff” you don’t get with raising boys. Like I would know right? :) So we braved the State Fair on Friday…….good times! I stink at typing out the details……let’s just say it was fun and stressful but way more FUN. The rides, the cotton candy, the petting zoo, the Circus…..it was all fun. It was awesome to feel like a family. You can imagine the stares and the comments we got from strangers all day. Saturday was soccer day. That was a lot of fun too. I live for that kind of stuff! I love watching my girls play sports and be active. Kacie and Karlie were so fun to watch. It was killing Bailee & Macey not to be out on the field playing too. Here are just a few photos from our weekend. I am going out there again in a few weeks so I plan on getting a picture with Shane & I together. It’s about time eh? :) Be sure to click on the photos for a clearer, larger view!

    Terrific photos.
I used to be friends with 5 girls. All sisters. 6 years between the oldest & youngest. I think it would be neat to have a girl. Then again I am thrilled with my boy too!

Here is an estrogen story for you….

my friends had 2 teenage girls and a teenage girl friend was living with them. For whatever reason the teenage girls all decided they wanted to wear the same shirt or whatever. You know how girls share clothes. They got into a pretty physical girl fight with clawing and hair pulling and screaming and crying. Dad pulled them apart and sat them all on the couch and started giving them this beautiful lesson on Christ like love and sharing and charity. They are all lined up on the couch sniffing with mascara running down their faces and red scratch marks etc. They didn’t say a word. Dad got done and asked if they thought they could figure out a way to share the shirt. The youngest looked up at him and said “Dad, you don’t understand, we are all on our periods”. Dad was speechless and threw his hands in the air and walked out of the room.

These are the many joys you have to look forward to :)
