Michael’s Score & Opinions Please?

So…I made it home safe and sound. Now for the three days worth of nasty laundry to get caught up on. Between the girls being gone with their Dad and Shane’s three days of 4 wheelin’ at the Dunes and my stuff too…..the pile ain’t purty. But that’s what we Moms do right? Laundry.

FallFlowers 1Today was unusual as far as my daycare goes. I only had two little boys. Both two years old. I totally took advantage and headed to Michael’s with them for a couple things I needed and of course a few things I didn’t. These fall flowers I posted only cost me $0.99 total! There are three different bunches in there. They had the fall stuff 80% off already! Score! I picked these up thinking I could use them on some fall layouts and cards I need to get done.

MarthaSnowflakes I caved. I caved and bought these waaaaaaaaay cute Martha Stewart stickers. Glittery, sparkly, wintry goodness. I couldn’t resist. Normally I pass on the Martha stuff. Most of it just isn’t my style and most of it is out of my cheap-o price range. But I had a 40% coupon with me. Need I say more?

MichaelsChristmasStampsMichaelsStamps 1Okay….and…..who amongst you has the self-control to actually pass on by those dollar stamps that are too dang cute???? Please excuse the lousy photo but I did at least stamp the images out so you could get a glimpse. I had a WHOLE LOT more of them in my cart but decided to narrow it down to these. Now to make sure I actually use them! LOL

ChristmasRecipeCardHollyRecipeCardSnowmanRecipeCard

THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR OPINIONS PLEASE! I also bought some CA-UTE recipe card packs (20 per pack) in the dollar bins. I am making some mini-recipe books this year for gifts. I cannot for the life of me decide which of these three designs I like best! PLEASE POST AND TELL ME WHICH IS YOUR FAVE!!! I will make an extra mini-book for one of you!!! Just post your favorite and I will put you in a drawing. Prolly do the drawing next week sometime!

Okay….off to wrap up some orders and help the girls with their homework. They just got home! Have a great week everyone!

  3. bev hodges Says:

I’d pick the holly just cause I can see with a little bling or glitter glue (for berries) they’d be sweet. Snowman would be my 2nd choice and I’d add a little sparkly to him, too!

  4. Katy Says:

Is it possible to love your blog just because of the anti-spam word? LOL I’m loving it!

  14. Trace Says:

    Hi Shanna,
I would totally go fo rthe snowman recipe card, because then if you want to make cute little gifts for friends, teachers, etc, you could print the cute poem for snowman soup on there, and tie it with ribbon around a mug with a pack of hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a candy cane.
    Trace

  15. Mechelle Wendt Says:

  39. Chris Says:

Isn’t Michaels a great store for all of their dollar finds?? I used to work there and it is a dangerous place to try and get a paycheck from. LOL

I was leaning toward the holly card, but after looking at them larger, I am going with the Snowman. It is just totally cute. Can’t wait to see your mini album, I am sure it will be awesome!!

Can’t wait to hear if it is a boy or a girl!! My daughter just found out that she is having a little girl. We are so excited!!! Good luck, I will think boy thoughts for you.

  40. Donna V Says:

My choice would be the holly. I like the others too, but like some commented…the holly has a simple, classy , almost “everyday elegance” look to it! I can see a little bit of stickles here and maybe a rhinestone there…

    Dang it…now I want to go play! This is ALL your fault. ;-}

  41. Andrea J Says:

Hey shawna, congrats on the michaels find. I made it in Monday night to try and use my 50% off coupon and wouldnt you know..i ended up using it on a $6 item, because they didnt have a notice that a bunch of other stuff was on sale..oh well..sale is good! Hoping I have better luck with my saturday coupon..and at least to score cute stamps like you picked up!

I love the recipe card with the mug on it. It says winter..but not necessariliy holiday..depending on what recipes you use, maybe the recipients will pull it out beyond the holiday season.

  78. Kristi Lacy Says:

I’m visiting your blog for the first time and I have to say, mighty cute. If you are going to do “holiday recipes” then I would suggest the snowman, but if they are going to be everyday recipes I would go with the holly.

Came across your blog from the link on MM - thanks so much for sharing your life !
