Lots to share!

GirlsGroupSoccerPhotoresizeFirst I gotta tell ya what an exciting night of soccer we had last night! Bailee has had at least 3 games so far this season and had yet to score a goal in any of them. I have to admit that my expectations weren’t too high because she hasn’t had near the experience as the other girls on her team plus she’s one of the smallest and youngest. Kacie scores just about every game and is super quick and good…. she’s been playing for several years! She’s exciting to watch! Cassidy scores at least one goal a game too! She’s taller and almost quicker than the other girls on her team! She LOVES soccer! Macey LOves it too and has so much fun playing but has gotten a little discouraged watching all her sisters score and it hasn’t happened to her yet. But it will. She definitely tries hard and that’s all I want to see as a parent.

Anyway, I’ve been watching Bailee in her practices and can’t believe what a different player she is verses playing in a game. Almost like she gets stage fright or something. In practice she is a MACHINE and scores and dribbles past her experienced teammates. It’s been CRAZY to me that she HASN’T scored any goals in a game. Her coaches told her at the last practice that if she were to play as hard in a game then she’d be scoring goals left and right. Well… guess what happened last night? Their team tied 6-6 and Bailee scored 3 of her team’s goals plus got an assist! It was sooooooo exciting for me to watch her get a taste of that rush that comes with competitive sports! She was an animal last night! I wish I had video taped it! Okay…. enuff of the proud parent stuff. Pretty cool though I have to say.

DaddysBoy1DaddysBoy3 …………And this “Daddy’s Boy” layout just might be my all-time favorite. I’m in love with it. It has my two favorite men in the world on it. What’s not to love? HA HA! I created this for the Sewing Feature on the Bo Bunny Blog. There is some super awesome creations posted over there. HIcard 1 2I machine stitched as well as hand-stitched on this layout. The little baseball on the layout was inspired by the ball on Brody’s outfit. And I hand-stitched the stitches on the baseball! FUN STUFF! Then this card was fun too! I wanted to make a stitched border on it so I used the light blue thread and tightened up the zig-zag stitch on my machine. Easy Peasy! Try sewing on some projects! It’s a lot easier than it looks and you can practice as much as you need to on some scraps! Just have fun with it!

So the Scrap Pink Crop was a lot of fun over at Create My Keepsakes this weekend! I can’t believe all the amazing work and projects that were created because of it! Well done ladies! Now that it’s over I can share my project here with you. Some of you have seen me make several of these over the years. Maybe you’ve even received one as a gift! They make AWESOME gifts! And with Christmas coming… here’s a fun idea! I won’t post all 365+ questions that go in the jar here. If you want the word doc with all of them on it then shoot me an email at shannavineyard@comcast.net and I will send it on to you.

If you have any questions whatsoever about this project PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t hesitate to post it here in the comments. Chances are that someone else may have the same question! I am not the best at explaining myself so please forgive me! I will respond in the comments as well. Here Goes!

***OH! And if you don’t want to MAKE one of these yourself but you’d really love to give one as a gift…. I am putting this in my Etsy Shop to sell WITHOUT the jar but everything else is included. If this ones sells then shoot me over an email and I can make a custom one for you no problem!

Personal History jar & journal.

The jar I used for this is a large 9 inch jar I got at Michael’s for $1.99. Feel free to use any other kind of container or jar…. This is your project! Same with the album. Use what you have around the house or go buy something special. Mine is just your basic 8×8 chipboard album.

**All you need to do is create/alter the front of your journal.

**Create a tag like the one shown here to add to your jar. (the wording I used on the inside of my tag is included in the word doc I can email to you when you request it)

***The questions just get copied onto colored paper (see my jar). Cut each question onto it’s own strip of paper so you can use a pencil like I have pictured below to curl it up and throw it into the jar. (This is the most time consuming part. I printed and cut the questions into strips then sat on the couch and watched one of my shows as I curled the strips and threw them into the jar! Or you can even crumple them up if you would rather not curl! Remember… this is YOUR project)

JOurnalNJar1 I have made many of these over the years for family & friends. They make wonderful gifts and it’s an awesome way to get your OWN PERSONAL HISTORY started. I love how interesting all the questions are. Things I never would have thought about that someday my kids and grandkids will appreciate knowing about me.
