I need to make this a pretty quick post. (I always say that then it ends up a flippin’ novel!) My sister Deanna and her 5 kiddos rolled into town last night! YAY! It’s going to be a really fun week! My girls were in shock yesterday because I made it sound like they wouldn’t be coming until tonight or Saturday. When their cousins knocked on the front door at 615pm…there was endless screams of joy & excitement with 6 giddy girls! It was a very fun moment here. Made me happy! Anyway, the house is perfectly quiet right now but at any given moment that is about to change. Shane’s girls will be with us this whole next week as well. I was laughing about how many kids my sister and I have total. If someone would have told me at 17yrs old that between Deanna and I we would have 11 children by the time I was 35….. I would have told them they are smokin’ crack!!! And we are missing our Brother’s 4 kids too! Anyway…. who knows when or if I will even be able to blog again for a while! LOL
Wanted to share this toothless cutie photo I grabbed of Kacie this week! She was excited when she showed up here on Tuesday night and told her Dad that the tooth fairy was gonna have to come to our house that night. She finally got it pulled out (gross!) and the tooth fairy hooked Kacie up with a pack of Pokemon cards, a one dollar bill and a sucker the size of her head! Long gone are the days when that poor little fairy can drop a couple of quarters next to a kids pillow and call it a night. Inflation has affected EVERYTHING eh? LOL
Okay…. So I failed miserably at updating you with our furry friends news here at the Vineyard-Lamb crib. Here’s a photo of Curby our beagle. This sweet animal is truly the nicest dog EVER! He is soooo well-mannered and good with the kids. Wouldn’t hurt a flea. Shane actually owned Curby while he was married to his ex. He found the dog lost on the side of the road and took him home and made him part of the family. Shane named him Curby cause he literally found him on the curb. We have Curby back permanently now because his ex didn’t want him… they don’t have a fence in their backyard.
Then there is our lil’ black lab puppy Rue. Ya’ll know she was a replacement dog from the pound because we lost Buddy. (may he rest in peace in puppy heaven) We have a funny story about this puppy. Well….. Shane is still REALLY irritated about it but he’s slowly getting over it. LOL
We finally worked up the nerve a couple weekends ago to go back and pick out another dog. Shane wanted a boy because there is obviously enough estrogen in this place to fuel a large Mary Kay Convention for a week! So we get this adorable black lab puppy who they TOLD US was a boy….paperwork all confirmed that. Got HIM home and named him Stat (after our fave Suns b-ball player). After almost two weeks of having HIM Shane was rubbing HIM on his belly and happened to notice the plumbing didn’t fit the BOY profile. Shane was really upset about it. Not upset enough to take the puppy back of course. But as Shane and I were talking we realized we couldn’t call a girl puppy Stat…. That’s a BOY name. We were joking about the whole HE/SHE mix-up and Shane mentioned that famous black dude that thinks he’s a woman….. I was like… RuPaul????
LOL….. We had a good laugh and now our cute little black puppy has been named after a Drag queen… I think it’s a cute name… RUE. The girls love it. They just assume the name came from an episode of Winnie the Pooh! ROFLMBO!!!
Alrighty…. there’s more…. I still need to share some photos of the water fun last weekend but I haven’t had time to go through them all. And the household is stirring. Time to kill 3 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for breakfast! HA!!! HA!!! I will leave you with a layout and a scripture journal entry I got done this week. Have a great weekend everyone!

LOL on the dog story. DH had a dog with a ‘mishap’ when I married him. HER name was Sarge. She ran off shortly after I moved in. We never found her. But we still have my Sadie. =)
Oh yeah, your stuff ROCKS (as usual)!! And I’m on the hunt for that punch today. lol Nothing better to do anyway. hehe!

Doesn’t rue also mean street in French? You could always tell the girls that since you already had a “curb” you needed a street…
Have a fantastic, fun-filled week. Enjoy all of the children, including those dog-kids!
