I am super happy right now!
I have several reasons for it.
My hubby bought me a plane ticket to go home to AZ in July!!! YAY!!! I am soooooo excited to have my family and friends meet my little man. While my girls are in Charlotte with their Dad for 3 weeks in July…. I will spend 10 days having a good visit back home! Now I am counting the days! 120 degree heat has never sounded so good! LOL
First things first! Brody is being blessed at church next Sunday and we are all SUPER excited that my Mom, my sister Hillary, and my sister Deanna and her kids are coming to Mississippi for the blessing and to see our new home state. My girls are buzzing. They can’t wait for next weekend! Neither can I!!!! Wooooooo! Hooooooo!
okay….. who wants to see some scrappy stuff? I’m still working on some classes but here’s a few things I can share right now!
You know how once in a blue moon when you create something or scrap a layout you LOVE sooooo stinkin’ much that after it’s done you sit back, look at it, pat yourself on the back and say, “Dang!! I am good!!!”???
Well that doesn’t happen very often with me but it did with this Baby girl gift bag. I just love it to pieces! It was my first attempt at hand-stitching! (now that ya’ll think I have a swollen head!) I did it as part of my design team assignments over at Triple the Sketch. It was inspired by this week’s sketch! Come play with us!!! LOTS of awesome inspiration!
Okay…. boy layouts are soooo much fun! I got this layout done yesterday and enjoyed every bit of the process! It literally took me all day between housework, 6 kids, two dogs (that’s a whole ‘nuther post) and a husband but I am loving it. I am using this layout as part of my contest entry to win a spot on the Create My Keepsake Design Team. We had to scrap-lift a layout already created by one of the current DT members and I was totally inspired by the fabulous Tina Albertson. This is my attempt at lifting her “H” is for Hannah page. I knew as soon as I laid eyes on it that it was perfect for this photo!
I have some more exciting news to share and some photos from this weekend’s backyard water fun to post but it will have to wait until tomorrow! I have a roast past done in the crock pot and some hungry kiddos licking their chops at me so I better get going for now.
OMIGOSH!!! One more thing… I almost forgot.
How long has it been since I’ve shared what I like to call a “Cassidy Caper”??? We are sitting in sacrament meeting in church today and FORTUNATELY I had to go out and change the baby
because when I came back in a few minutes later Shane’s face was still beet red with embarrassment because Cassidy (my 6yr old) farted super loud during church and caused a bit of a scene. I guess it wouldn’t have been so bad if her older sisters sitting on both sides of her hadn’t parted like the Red Sea yelling “EEEEEEEEEWWW GROSS CASSIDY!!!” Yah. Do you think my family is fitting right in down here in the South?
Heaven help me.

Awww, how sweet! Who knew that a diaper change would be God’s little way of “saving you”. Now, you will appreciate the need for diaper changes as the huge blessing that they are!!! AHAHAHAHAHA…

BWAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That is totally something that would happen to my family at church . . . except giggling would ensue (much to my embarassment!) directly after the initial reaction!
Love the bag, love the layout — YOU GO GIRL! And, can’t wait to see you in July!

Oh my gosh! That’s so funny!!! I’m sure it’s not something cassidy will appreciate her sisters reminding her about in front of her future boyfriends - but I’m betting it’ll happen! Funny! Shanna love your story about church. GREAT stuff. I am sitting in Deanna’s livingroom right now. I came for Amy’s baptism. It is a good time. I see that you signed up for the sketch 101 class. I was going back and forth because I love both of those ladies work. Last night I did it. SO I haven’t been able to get into the sight yet. I am sure it will be worth my 21 dollars. Later Tammi
