Letter to Santa

…….Last night was fun for the girls because they got to play over at Nana’s house for several hours while I went and bought out Fuzziwig’s candy store for stocking stuffers. Almost forgot about those! Then my sis Hillary and I went and saw “The Family Stone”. GOOD MOVIE. FUNNY! okay….so I get back to my Grandma’s house and she shows me this letter that Bailee had written to Santa so she can leave it next to his milk and cookies tonight. I will let you read it. Click on the image to get an enlarged and clearer view. Can I tell you how hard it was to hold back the tears? I mean sometimes as a parent (single mom) you wonder if anything you say to your kids really sticks in their little brains and hearts! I really needed this! Especially this time of year when the loneliness of being single kicks in (most of the time I don’t mind it) :) The reality though is it’s okay!!! I am at a great place in my life and doing good things and have been blessed with more than I thought possible in my circumstances. This letter to Santa was a HUGE pat on the back for me and said I must be doing SOMETHING right! I am grateful for this whole “online journal/blog” thing!!! In another few years from now when the pats on the back for being a good mom don’t come so frequently…..I can come here and read my archives and somehow make it through the drama of raising three teenaged daughters…….HEAVEN HELP ME!!!!
