Joy Journal, Pumpkin patch & Paper Salon

EnJOYFallpage 1I can’t remember honestly when the last time was I went a whole week without blogging! It’s not like me….I enjoy it too much to miss more than a few days. Plus I don’t like to forget or miss anything. Like I’ve said a thousand times….this IS MY JOURNAL! I don’t really keep a hand-written one like some people. I’m just not good at it. This is my latest JOY JOURNAL page. Finished it this morning.

I don’t want to bore you with the fine details of why I haven’t been around but here’s a quick summary: I’ve been REALLY sick…more than just pregnancy sick. I had a really bad UTI and the meds the Doc gave me didn’t help which turned into a NASTY bladder infection. I was DOWN. Thanks to Shane staying home and helping me with the house and kids…couldn’t have survived without him. Then I had a new 4 yr old daycare kiddo who I was warned was ADHD. They warned me of his screaming fits and tantrums….they didn’t warn me about his violence. He was only here a day and a half before he was pulling my hair and kicking me in the stomach. Not good. Needless to say…I no longer keep him. Then there was the nasty case of lice in our home which wasn’t fun on top of everything else. Has that ever happened to any of you? It was horrifying. A first for us here. And I pray the last! PumpkinsresizeSaturday brought a breath of fresh air. I felt better. We got out of the house. We took the girls to the pumpkin patch to pick out their carving pumpkins. It was cool. Here are a few of the photos I got. I love pumpkins. They make my girls smile! papersalonThen I received a super cool email from Stacey over at Paper Salon this morning. She wanted me to know that she got my designer spotlight up on their blog today. CHECK THIS OUT. I am feeling kinda special. Hee hee! I had soooooo much fun working with their products! Thanks Stacey for the opportunity!

Okay….I have lots to do this week. Halloween parties to get ready for. I have a cave woman costume to make for myself. I promise to pop in though before a week has passed me by! Hope everyone has a good one!

Shanna I am so sorry that you were sick. That just sucks. Glad you’re feeling better.

Years ago, I used to have a home daycare and only had a couple of kids that I said no to. Ya gotta feel for those kids. Who knows what they’ve gone through to have those kinds of reactions.

Sounds like things are moving at Shanna-speed again! Have a fun time and I expect we will see photos of you in said cavewoman costume??

Oh God Shanna, that’s horrible. One thing on top of another. I’m glad you got through it although I’m sure it was bad. The situation with the little boy sounds particularly rough. I’m sure you struggled with that decision. I think you did the right thing though. That just won’t work at all as your baby grows and grows.
I’m glad it’s a new day, a new week and you are on the mend on all fronts. I’m really looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!
