It’s Friday!

Shane’s girls will be getting in around Noon tomorrow! Everyone here is so excited! The time is going to pass waaaaaay too quickly but we will surely take advantage of it! They fly back home with their Mom on Wednesday. I will share photos for sure!

JoyJournal So this is my “Joy Journal”!!! I planned on having a page created too to post with it but this week has been kind of ugly for me. I should be getting over the first-trimester yuckies here pretty quick. I am 13 weeks now. Okay….back on topic. I started thinking about all the different scrapbooks and albums I have full of layouts. I caught myself thinking about my children and their children down the road that will sit and flip through them. I found myself asking will they KNOW me by looking thru these albums? Some pages yes. But most of them are layouts of the kids or events. Which IS GOOD! Don’t get me wrong! I just want to take the whole “book of me” and my thoughts a little more seriously for my posterity’s sake. So I came up with this “Joy Journal”. I am one of those people who needs a theme to work with or I will go crazy with a million different topics. I thought it would be cool to always scrap and journal about the different things in my life that bring me JOY. There are so many things. I am excited about working on a page a week for this. This will be my “In[s]piration Friday” project for quite a while. Or at least until I get bored again. HA HA!!! If ya wanna join in and you haven’t worked in your BOOKS OF YOU for a while…….COME PLAY WITH ME! I’m not going to challenge you….just maybe inspire you. Who Knows? My album is a 6×6 size. Perfect for small photos and lots of journaling. I will be scrapping with some friends tonight so I hope to get a page done and added to this post.

HappyBirthdaytoYouCardBirthdayGirlCard These are a couple of Birthday cards I got done this week for the card contest going on over at the Paper Salon Blog. Lots of good stuff always posted over there…..check it out when you get a few! Okay….I gotta bake some Snickerdoodles I promised my girls. Hope everyone has a good weekend! Enjoy!
