Still here. Still trying to adjust to the whole newborn thing. It’s getting a lot easier. Little Brody is spacing out his feedings at night. YAY! No more of this every two hour stuff. And I can feel it in my back, head, and neck too! I am actually getting some rest. I need to get some good photos of him now at 6 weeks old. Here’s one I snapped of him a few minutes ago sleeping like an angel on the couch. He sure is getting big. He holds his head up really well now and smiles REAL smiles. Not the ones that you think are just gas. He’s even giggled a couple times for me too!!! Man….6 weeks… just like that!
The ladies at my church shocked me and gave me and another girl a double baby shower last night. It was sooooo much fun. I love getting to know these women outside of church in a much less formal setting. They spoiled us rotten with gifts and then we each got a “large” group gift as well. I guess they probed Shane for what else I needed and he clued them in on the jogging stroller thing. I am still shocked and grateful. Yesterday was also my uh….hmm..err…35th birthday. I feel 50 just because of the whole post prego not in shape issue. Well this joggin’ stroller is about to help me feel young again and get me and Brody out of the house in the mornings! WOOT! WOOT! It was a super fun night and it ended with a girls’ movie night. Me and two other ladies… Nicole and Jan… went and saw MADE OF HONOR. It was so nice to get to see a chick flick at the movies instead of Netflix. LOL It was a really cute movie. And Patrick Dempsey is the MOH…. so…. yah. must see.
Alrighty then. I need to get to work. My poor scrap area has been so unproductive since I’ve gotten it organized. It’s pretty much been just collecting stuff over the last week. I have to say thanks though to those of you who sent me some fun birthday goodies…. that’s what’s piling up on my tables. Not a bad thing! Thanks PAtter, Mom, Nadine, Grandma, Suzanne, Lisa & Kerry & Kaelene (all the redneck jokes had me rollin’). I hope I’m not missing anyone! Thanks for thinking about me. I miss everyone!

Ok so we went to see “Made of Honor” too and McDreamy is not a strong enough word, we also saw “Baby Mama” the same night -super funny; however, I have to say that the night before last we saw “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and we were peeing ourselves laughing! For those of you that steer from crude humor…wait for it…all kinds of full frontal naked penisness of Jason Segel (he’s got a Will Ferrellish body) and Jackie from “That 70’s Show”. It was written by the guys who did “40 Year Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up” so you can imagine!!! Seriously, leave the garments at home (joke) and go just to crack up, the English rock star starts out as totally obnoxious but I swear he grew on me and by the end and I kind of really dug ‘em (does anyone say that anymore?) We have the jeep stroller - LOVE IT!!! I shoved it into the trunk of the civic - doesn’t fit BTW… and the hood part snapped. I requested a replacement part and the company replaced the whole stroller for free - no ?’s asked.
Brody is adorable ~ happy belated ~ and positive vibes for gettin’ back in shape. I’ve been spinning 2X week for 11 weeks now - 5 lbs lost and the cellulite is shrinking! Woot Woot!!
