So how is everyone enjoying their three-day weekend? Mine wasn’t. I had to work today! I am sneaking this post in during naptime! Shhhhh!! I thought I was going to get a ton of scrapping done this weekend especially since my girlfriend Julie was here visiting from SoCal. We were up until 4am on Sunday morning just working away! She got like 10+ pages done for her wedding album! YAY! Me? Nada. Zip. Zilch. BUT……I did finally get re-organized! I have been needing to switch carts and get rid of a lot of stuff I NEVER use!!!
It took me like 9hours total but I finally finished! It feels good! All my baskets are used in the hutch now and I have this smaller scrap cart filled to the brim with my goodies. I gave Julie my huge rainbow cart I had before and she was stoked! Now I am actually much more compact and portable if/when I do want to go to a crop! Both the carts you see pictured here can be found at Costco for $29.99. I am pretty sure that’s how much they were! Anyway….I didn’t get a layout done for Friday because I was
busy working on that Artwork display board for the MM IDOL contest. So Friday came and went but I am hoping that you will still be inspired to get organized! I don’t know about you but I can scrapbook so much better when I have an organized workspace!
The other thing I found myself doing while I was going thru some stuff this weekend was flipping thru some old scrapbooks! I used to scrap in the 8 1/2 x 11 format a lot! I was near tears looking at old layouts in complete disbelief about how much my girls have grown. I don’t want them to grow up. I don’t know why I have been thinking about this so much lately. I guess I just love our little connections and relationships we each have right now and I am scared of it changing.
I was a hellacious teenager and I have that Mother’s curse looming. You know…..the “I hope you have a teenager just like you someday” curse??? Well….it scares me. And it should. Oh well. Life rolls on and things change. But love only grows stronger and as long as we have that we should be able to handle anything! I noticed when looking at these pages that even though the trends and products have changed over the years…..I still love my bright colors. I still love ink. And I still love clean. I love everything! Has your style changed at all? Post some of your OLD layouts. Share how you’ve changed! Maybe even scrap-lift YOURSELF!!!

Tomorrow I better see your name on the MM Idol list
Such cute lo’s and the girls apparently have grown…ALOT!
I do miss that size, it was so easy to scan with no stitching!
I am on the clean/reorganize/purge page. I have been “thinking” about it for a a few days, and today started doing something about it. I think it would be easier without all the “help” I am receiving from my family!

Wow, how timely was that layout of your daughter’s first missing tooth. My oldest son just lost his first one tonight! I’ve already been thinking about how to scrap it. =)

I know. Someday I’m sure my kids will be rolling their eyes at all the pages I did that said something about not wanting them to grow up. AND I was a GOOD teenager!
I love the cart! I’m glad that you finally got it organized! Did I send you the link to the compartment trays that fit inside the drawers? If you need it, let me know and I’ll find it for you. It really helped me to organize a lot of my smaller stuff.
Your scrap area is looking great!

You are too funny and I know the feeling about the whole growing up thing. We just had our daughter baptized on Sunday…she is THREE! We just found a church we love and Sunday was my birthday but an icky 37 ..so I didn’t want to celebrate that.. I wanted to celebrate soemthing joyous. While it was a great day and the baptism was beautiful and she gets the whole Jesus thing… I was just in disbelief at how fast they grow up. My 5 year old called me lame yesterday and I about fell over! Keep them little as long as you can..and don’t turn 37…hee hee hee

I am proud of you for giving the MM Idol thing a try! You never know until you try, right??
In reviewing the layouts that did make it, it appears to me that they were looking for specific things! Did those entries make it because they were voted in by people, or because MM decided who would go from the first round? Just wondering!
Hope to scrap with ya soon!
