HOLEEEEEEEEEEEY SCHMOLEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!
HEARTFELT THANKS to everyone and your sweet comments about our recent baby news! Still kinda shocked. I should be puking my brains out by now but I haven’t at all! That’s a REALLY good sign! Hopefully it will stay that way! I don’t have an official due date yet but will see the OB for the initial visit in a few weeks. I am only about 6 weeks along so it’s looking like an April/May baby. I will OF COURSE keep you posted! Thanks again! You all had me in tears this week!
I wish I could reply to everyone! Just know I am grateful!
Back to my attempt at being Inspiring on Fridays! I am curious…..how are you guys liking this little feature on my blog? I love it, creatively speaking, for myself because some weeks when I don’t feel like scrapping (GASP!) it forces me to get something done. And I am always happiest when I am creating regularly.
The idea for this week’s topic came to me as a result of some conversations I’ve had lately with my good friend Teresa. She was asking about my organizational process during a project. She mentioned feeling a bit over-whelmed at making sure she is using her stash when scrapping. She feels like she stocks up on stuff and then when it comes to sitting down and starting a page……she draws a complete blank! I told her she isn’t alone on this. There are lots of scrappers that struggle with the same thing. I do at times too but I started using a new organizational process that has changed everything for me! I feel like I am using up my stash AND everything I could want to use on a layout or mini-album is right at my fingertips!
CHECK THIS OUT:
This is a 12×12 storage container. I am sure you have all seen them! This has been the secret to my scrappin’ sanity!!! Before I start on a project……I go through ALL & I mean ALL my supplies and gather ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that could apply to the colors or theme I am working on! The items you see here are ones I gathered before working on a mini-album I just finished. It was a “Home & Family” theme. I gathered paper, rub-ons, ribbon, flowers, embellies, ink, adhesive. This is also nice because I can just grab the container and go if I need to scrap somewhere other than home. Then when the project is done I just spend 20mins or so making sure all the supplies are back in their homes and I have an empty container again. I LOVE this! Everyone has their own organizational process when they sit down to scrap but after years of trying to figure this out……this works best for me!
As for the mini-album I finished…….It has 15 different images so I won’t post them all here. If ya wanna see it……check it out here on Ebay!
Or here in my gallery on Two Peas.
Have a happy scrappy weekend!

did you hear shanna when she said she gathers ALL her supplies? can you imagine going to a crop with this woman and ALL her supplies? oh, i can. and i live to tell about it. all i got to say is that if you go to a crop with shanna, A) let her drive and B) if you ignore that first piece of advice then please don’t be drivin’ no VW and C) do not help her load/unload, if you suffer from back pains, neck injuries, vertigo, dizzyness, arthritis, have recurring nightmares, are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant, or if you are just thinking about having sex for the next 6 months. word.

Such a great idea! I do a similar thing with pages I am intending on working on by putting everything into the 12 x 12 zip lock bags . . . it makes it so easy to just pick it up and go!
