Yesterday I went to the funeral services for this incredible woman. It’s funny how you don’t realize all the amazing things you loved about people until they are gone. Mary Ann played a unique role in my life but it was mostly during my pre-teen and early teenage years. You see…..she is one of my best friends’ Mom. Janet and I were inseperable in our youth. Those were good times and lots of great memories. I probably spent more time at the Young’s home than I did my own growing up….MaryAnn was like another Mom to me. I always admired the relationship her and Janet had together. Nothing’s changed. As I watched the video put together with photos of her life you could see how important her family was to her. She was a superior example of sacrifice, love, humor, perseverance….the list goes on. She has been fighting breast cancer for several years. She was ready to leave. She is happier, this I am sure! Janet is the same stellar woman her Mom was……I admire and love and respect her! Thanks for everything…..especially sharing your mom with us girl! I love you and may your Mom rest in peace! ~Shanna
