Hee hee! It’s just been a bit on the crazy side around here this week! I have a couple extra daycare kiddos than normal because I am going to lose several when school starts in a couple weeks. I have one little 2yr old boy named Bodhi staying with us this week….even overnight because I am a sucker for him. His mom is on a cruise and doesn’t have family here she can trust or leave him with longer than a day. So Shane is getting his fill on having another boy in the house. The girls have had friends and cousins over non-stop so the house feels like Grand Central Station!
I took Cassidy to the Doctor this morning for her well-check visit. You know….the whole eyes and hearing tests and shots thing. I was expecting her to fail the hearing tests miserably since I swear she never hears me talking to her at home. Nope. Perfect hearing. Just conveniently doesn’t hear mom asking her to do things. Strange. She got shots too. 4 of them. I told her she would be getting them so she would be prepared. She had herself psyched and ready because there would be NO Kindergarten if she didn’t get her shots. But I guess I didn’t tell her just how many and after the first two in the left arm…..I had to practically sit on her to get the other arm done. Poor girl. I hate to see her in pain. But it’s funny how as a parent that stuff changes over the years. I bawled like a baby with Bailee in the Doctor’s office when she got hers done. Cassidy got bribed with Sonic cheese sticks and a pack of gum. No tears for Mom.
hmmmmm….what else happened this week? I worked on a layout that’s going to be featured on the SCRAPJAZZ website next month. That was pretty cool! I can’t share it though….not yet. It’s considered published so I have to wait. YAY!
We had a BBQ and swim party with our ward on Tuesday night. It was at Brimhall Junior High in Mesa. It was a lot of fun and lots of yummy food. They had a cannonball contest off the high dive and our Bishop did it once. It was hilarious if you know our Bishop.
Oh!!! Last Saturday we went to the Westcourt in the Buttes hotel where Shane’s sister was staying for a few days. They have the most amazing pool area with a slide for the kids. They had tables set up with some crafts for the kids. I swear we spent at least 3hours there and the girls were not happy to leave. It was so much fun. I will post some photos from that day here. Can’t wait to scrap some of them!
Hope everyone is enjoying the last of the summer! School starts on the 13th for us! Time is flying by. Well…..some days it needs to start NOW. LOL
Edited to add… I just noticed my girls have on last year’s swimming suits! Yeeeee HaaaaW! I sailed thru the summer not needing to buy brand new ones! THAT won’t ever happen again! LOL
