I have to get this down before I forget. Yesterday afternoon Bailee was looking thru one of my scrapbooks and really studying each page. These are the times when the reward comes 100 fold for all the heart, soul, and money we pour into this hobby. Well, after Bailee read the journaling on the layout below she said, “Mom….you know what makes me the MOST happy?” I said, not even knowing what she had read or where she was going, “What’s that Bailee?”
She sweetly replied, “Home makes me happiest.”
Okay seriously……I would take many hard times with my girls for just one of these tender moments. Single parenting…..you’ve all heard me talk about it…..definitely has its challenges. Honestly….it SUCKS some days. Sometimes it feels like I barely tread water. But the days like yesterday when the SUN beams out from behind the clouds and shines down deep inside my heart……..that’s why I do what I do. Little glimpses of sunshine that tells me I must be doing something right…..they do feel the love….they hear what you’re teaching them…….they watch how you live your life. Thanks Bailee Boo…….you made my day & touched my heart!

Yeah me too Lisa. But my daughters never say those kinds of things to me. Good for you Shanna. I think Bailee is a real sweetie. Good thing you are teaching her to share her feelings. Get her to write about it and scrap it.

I don’t know you…only from 2peas but I had to tell you that I think it is wonderful when kids can point it out to an adult like that. I was a single mom for a bit and it does suck but those comments really do help. I am still getting a high from a comment my son said to me almost 2 years ago. It helps so much.
