I didn’t do a dang thing yesterday! Oh! Except cut out some letters for Karen!
(working on those today girl!) I pretty much relaxed, did some much needed laundry and just played with my kiddos all day. I had fun posting every day for 17 days but my brain is glad I’m done! LOL!!! Anyhoo… are everyone’s kids out for Spring Break this week? Ours are. Ours have actually been going to soccer camp for the last 4 days and loving every second of it. They’ve gotten up early and been gone from 8am-Noon. It’s been really good for them. Besides all the good things they are learning and exercise they are getting…. they aren’t stuck in the house all week with Momma and the daycare kiddos. Plus, they’ve been spending a lot of time with their Dad before he starts his new job here in Madison. And that’s been really fun for them.
Here’s Bailee & her Dad just getting back from Bailee’s FIRST hunting trip with him. He took her on Tuesday after Soccer camp and they were out in the wilderness for the rest of the afternoon. I have seriously mixed emotions about this whole Hunting thing but Bailee seems really excited to be doing it so there’s not much I can or will say. I think the hardest part is just facing the fact that she’s not a little girl anymore and she’s growing into a young lady. She’s been studying and taking her hunting certification classes and learning about being safe and all that so at least that’s good. I remember going hunting once with my uncles and Grandpa when I was a young girl. I seemed to like it fine until the day they hung Bambi up in the garage and… well… you know….
I was done.
Seriously that’s all it took and I haven’t had the least bit of interest since. I don’t mind eating meat but I will let someone else help get it to my freezer. Thank you very much. So somewhere inside me I think I’m hoping that Bailee will lose interest but I’m prolly hoping in vain. Yay for her Dad. LOL
My girls are leaving with Tom this afternoon to go out to North Carolina for the rest of the weekend and Kacie and Karlie are here and spending the rest of their break with us. Shane has planned to do some things with them and took today and tomorrow off work to spend time with them. He’s been working hard the last 6 months so I’m glad he’ll get a 4 day weekend!
Nothing much is going on besides that! Oh! I don’t think I mentioned that Brody is finally getting tubes put in his ears tomorrow morning. Shane & I will be leaving EARLY to go to the hospital with him. I know it’s just out-patient surgery but please…. if you’re the praying kind… please send up a prayer for my little guy that everything will go smoothly and without complication. I hate that he has to get them but am looking forward to him feeling much better long-term.
Okay! That’s it for now! No creative stuff to share today. But I will tomorrow!
Toodles! ♥

Glad to hear you took it easy yesterday. Bordy will be fine. The nurses said Amy was amazing waking up from the anesthesia. Most kids get disoriented and cry but she just stared at them. Maybe Brody will be the same. Let’s just hope he doesn’t react to it like mom does. I will definitely be praying for that! Good luck and give him a big kiss for me!

That is going to be a fun photo to scrap, even if they idea of hunting isn’t your cup of tea (mine either). It’s cool, though, that her dad is taking time to do things like that with her.
You and Brodie will be in my thoughts tomorrow. Surgery is tough on mom’s, I know from experience, but once they recover, man is it worth it!

With you all the way tomorrow-I swear it was the longest 2 hours of my life. Will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
I’m like you about the hunting. If it magically appears in the freezer neatly wrapped in freezer paper I’m good to go but if you bring it home to dress in the carport, forget it.

Wow, your girl is learning to hunt. That’s pretty cool. I’m not into it for about the same reasons you aren’t! LOL But I still think it’s awesome she’s giving it a try.
Prayers for you & Brody. I had 2 kids that had tubes put in. It’s not easy being a mom somedays but it is worth it! =)

glad to hear that Brody is getting tubes. My middle daughter had to have them when she was 9 months old and it made the world a much better place for her and for me. You will be so happy that Brody is happy and feeling better. I will keep him in my prayers.

Congratulations on getting the “Celebrate 16” card published. I just got my May/June Paper Crafts magazine, flipped through it, low and behold was your card.. I knew it was your card because I had seen it on your website.. Funny thing, I looked through the magazine and your card is the best one in there.. I was disappointed in some of them. Maybe because your card is so awesome!.. Anyway, CONGATULATIONS!..

I think it’s cool that Bailee is learning to hunt. It’s good, quality time spent with dad away from everyone else and that’s a good thing! But Bambi . . . .
I hear you on that! Good luck to you and Brody on the tubes. I’m sure it will be harder on you than it is on him. I’ll say prayers for both of you!
