This fun Easter decoration is featured over on the Bo Bunny Blog today. We were asked to create an Easter Home Decor project so of course I was excited to combine my love of woodcrafting AND Scrapbooking to make this sweet bunny! I raided my old stash of tole painting books and found the pattern for this. I cut the wood out using my scroll saw (LOVE that thing!) then painted it and added some Bo Bunny Love Shack and Double Dot goodies to it! Fun!!!! She stands like 18 inches tall!!! I haven’t done much woodworking or tolepainting since the girls were much smaller so they were super excited as they watched this come together. They didn’t realize what Mommy could do with that nasty stack of wood out in the garage! LOL!!!
I am going to give the Easter bunny to my sweet friend Christy whose birthday is on the 14th. She brought me this crazy beautiful bouquet of spring flowers when she found out about our baby news! I forgot to post this photo of it several weeks ago! She is always checking in on me and even drops by a Sonic Dr. Pepper every now and then too! I love her to pieces! I’m so excited for her and her hubby Greg (Shane’s best friend) because they are flying out to New York today to meet their son Bret who has been serving a mission for our church in GUAM the last two years! Greg got his pilot’s license and his plane while Brett was on his mission so he is FLYING them all back in his plane from New York. Pretty flippin’ cool!!!! The girls actually got to fly in Mr. Greg’s plane again last night for the second time…. they LOVVVVE it!
OKAY…. I feel like I’m rambling.
The girls are home from school today. Good Friday. And it is good. We are baking & decorating some Easter cookies, taking Bailee to get her hair cut, playing at the park (it’s BEAUTIFUL outside!) and then SOMETIME today I hope to get a little scrapping done! Then the girls are going to be with their Dad this weekend. We won’t have any girls with us. Just the boy. Don’t even know what we will do with ourselves! I know one thing’s for sure…. I neeeeeeed to give the house a good cleaning and get caught up on laundry!!! I’ve been really sick most days so the last thing I ever feel like doing when I DO FEEL GOOD is scrubbing a toilet or mopping floors! Okay. Nuff of the whining! LOL
