……..This beautifully aged woman is 84 years young today. She’s my Grandma Marilyn. I love her. I don’t get to see her a lot but when I do….she leaves a happy place in my heart.
She is my Dad’s mother. Some of his family got together tonight at Texas Roadhouse (yum!) to have dinner and celebrate Grandma’s birthday. It was a great time! I got to see a side of the family that I don’t often do. My uncle Cort was down from Juneau, Alaska. His kids…CJ & Liberty were there and my Aunt April. It was great. And of course my Dad & step-mom Raquel. Here are a few photos from the night. I have to apologize for the poor quality. The lighting was sooooo bad in there. Oh well. And be sure and peek at Grandma in her “84″ balloon hat. She still has her sense of humor. gotta love that! I love that woman! ![]()

And then Saturday night the girls and I met some friends out at the Ostrich Festival. Yes…..we still live in Arizona. We haven’t moved to Mississippi yet. I DID say ostrich festival. LOL I guess we got there too late on Saturday night though cause the big bird festivities were done by the time we got there.
It’s a freakin’ shame I tell you. ANyway….the girls had a blast hanging out with Payton. Cassidy was crushin’ big time if you can’t tell by this photo. I think they actually look like they could be siblings. CUTE! Then I got one of Bailee and Macey on a ride. I love how it turned out! Shane was on an overnight 4 wheeling fest with his brother and friends doing that male bonding thing. I didn’t get any scrapping done that night. By the time I got home my head was swole (is that a word?LOL) up like the Goodyear blimp. I put the girls in bed, took some allergy meds and hit the hay. All that ostrich dander, sidestream smoke and teenage swearing made my head ache. LOL But don’t get me wrong……we had a blast.

Looks like fun, Shanna!! And yes, be prepared for some crazy festivals in the South! Here in New Orleans, there is some festival every weekend. We did attend Swamp Fest and it was a ball. There was all sorts of yummy southern food to eat, so I was happy! And of course, your g’ma is a DOLL!!

My hubby Joe even said a prayer for him. How awful. We are also very active and that would be hard. Joe actually refs hockey and that is our lively hood throughout the winter months of higher heat bills and warmer clothing. We’ll keep you both in our prayers. You do have each other!!! joe and I have learned the hardway in the last 7 years how important that can be. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lo’S by the girls and I’m sad taht I missed out on the page kits.
