Let’s just say I’ve been trying to keep busy with creating this week when I haven’t been busy with the kids! It somehow makes the time go by faster which is what I need right now! LOL Voting closes today for the Gallery Idol Card contest and the big announcement will be made tomorrow morning! I am actually more excited than nervous like I thought I would be. I will be super excited for any of us TOP 5 girls to win! It’s been a crazy fun month of card challenges! Everyone’s won some amazing prizes…. Yah… Everyone has WON!!! Okay… I’m rambling. On to sharing some cards I’ve created over the past few days. It’s been raining NON-STOP here so it’s been good card-making weather.
Each of the four cards I’ve made has some sort of Hero Arts stamps on them as well as a tag. This week’s challenge was to stamp on tags! I was super-stoked cause I have a whole drawer in my scrappy cart filled with JUST TAGS! LOVE THEM! But I still don’t use them enough! Thanks for the challenge Hero Arts! ♥♥♥
This card was inspired not only by the HA Challenge but also the CPS #126 sketch challenge. I’m not the best at layering like a few of my favorite card makers but I try every now and again. The papers and flowers on this are Prima. I had fun putting this card together because I rarely pull out my embossing supplies and I did emboss with this Hero Arts stamp.
This last card was inspired by this week’s 2 Sketches 4 You sketch! I had a lot of fun with this! A few of my favorites are on this card! The Hero Arts Decorative Birds & flourish heart are a few of my favorite HA stamps! I also used my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The papers are Prima and the tag is KandCompany. And of course I can’t do much these days without some sort of scallops somewhere on the card. ♥♥♥
Sooooo… there’s officially only 13 more days left until the first day of school here! Does that leave anyone else scratchin’ their noggin??? I can’t believe how quickly this summer flew by and we really didn’t do much! We took our trip to Arizona in June but that was about it for summer vacations. Normally with the girls home all day I am ready for school to start like 3 weeks into summer! LOL Yah… I will admit it. But this summer wasn’t like that at all. It was good! I will actually miss them when they go back. Especially keeping up with the little man all by myself! HA!!!

If there is any justice in the world YOU will WIN! Your cards show more creativity and talent than the other four finalists combined. I’m crossing my fingers and toes and looking for a lucky rabbit’s foot to rub! -I’ve always thought lucky and rabbits foot were diabolically opposed - if the rabbit had been lucky, his foot wouldn’t be on someone’s keychain!;-O Anyhoo - I really want you to win.

I just found some tags n my stash planning on decorating them. Play with my cricket. Went to Michaels had a great sell on cricket cartridges so excited. Amazing new cards Shanna. I really want you to win tomorrow but I am leaving town tomorrow so I won’t know the final results, I am really sad about it but well, I know you will win.!!!! Everyone is right, your style is unique and you should win but I know you had fun “playing”
I will use your idea for the tags. I, as well love them but don’t use them often or ever. Isn’t that the case for everyone???
