Happy Friday! So glad the weekend is finally here! I’ve been a creating fool this week on projects I neeeeed to do and projects to “play” with. Sometimes when I have deadlines or things I HAVE to get done it helps to take a creative time-out and make something just for fun!
Over at For the Luv of Art…. Ellen posted a card challenge this week to use masking on a card. This happens to be one of my most favorite techniques of all time! I think it’s because I get to play with paint and I ♥ acrylic paints! I created this card using the yellow cardstock as the base. Then I found an old KI Memories Lace cardstock in my stash that I laid down over the card to use as my mask. I couldn’t find a link to them anywhere online because I don’t think they even sell them anymore but I did find a picture of one so you could at least see what I used.
So once I had the lace (mask) positioned where I wanted it… I used a stipple brush with only a little bit of pink paint on it to cover the card. While that was drying I cut a flower out of the lace cardstock to use as a mini mask on the kraft brown cardstock. I used white paint on that and then the “Celebrate Your Day” stamp from this set. Once my masking was done and the paint was all dry, I inked the edges, added some stitching, and finished up with a ribbon and pink bling. Easy peasy! Masking looks like it would be hard but it’s actually super easy and adds so much to your project! Love it!
I wasn’t planning on this turning into a “tutorial” on masking but I hope it inspires you to look at what you have in your stash that can be used as a mask and to get out those paints and play!
Have a great weekend! Stay cool! ♥

Hi Shanna,
Awesome card! Thanks for reminding me to dig out my masking tools and create something. It’s funny how I get on this kick or that kick and forget about techniques that I truly love. Lately I’ve been using my Cricut a lot. Now I find that I’m missing my more creative techniques. It’s time to drag out all my inks, paints, EPs, and glitters and make a mess!

A lot of specialists claim that credit loans aid people to live the way they want, just because they can feel free to buy necessary goods. Moreover, different banks present car loan for different classes of people.
