This weekend was VERY busy and VERY exciting for many reasons! So there will be several posts over the next day or two about it but I wanted to highlight this occasion first because our family is so very elated my youngest brother Casey is serving a mission for our church. His call came in the mail on Saturday so everyone gathered at my Grandma’s house to be there when he opened it!!!! I am not kidding when I say there must have been 50 people crammed in my Grandma’s living room waiting with baited breath to find out where in this big ol’ universe Casey would be serving for two years. Wanna know where he’s going????
Here he is holding “the call” as he patiently waits for the last of the family members to arrive who wanted to be apart of the exciting event.
Drum roll please…………….
Hurry up already!!!!!!!!!!!
…………..The call!!! To Lisbon, Portugal!!!!!!!!!
Mom is VERY excited and proud……. hugs for Casey!!!!!
Sitting there with everyone he loves (except Deanna’s family who was on speaker phone from Logan, UT) taking it all in. He will be speaking Portuguese. Lisbon is the capitol city of Portugal. It is on the Eastern Coast of Spain for those who thought it was in South America. Here is a super cool link with a map and cool facts about the city. CLICK HERE
CONGRATULATIONS CASEY!!! We love you and are very proud of you! We will miss you but know you’ll have the time of your life! We gotta tear Hermosa Beach up in a few weeks! One last hooooRAH before you report!
You rock Bro!

What a cool mission! (Unless he was hoping for “Idaho”…did you ever watch “The RM” ? How about “Singles Ward”?) A cool country, not third world, safe, and a new language!
Congrats Casey!!!!!!
