Busy week!

BaileesBdayInvite It’s been a busy, busy week. I’ve been madly trying to get Bailee’s 12th birthday invitations created so she can hand them out to friends at school and get some of them mailed. She will be turning 12 next Thursday the 17th but we are having a birthday party for her on Friday the 18th. She is totally into the who tie-dye t-shirt thing right now and the peace signs so that’s how I came up with this birthday invite and theme. I’m going to cut out a bunch of large wooden peace signs that the girls can paint and decorate at the party then take home and hang in their rooms. Bailee is pretty excited. We also made it a costume party so the girl dressed in the best “hippy” outfit will get a prize! LOL Oh… and I don’t usually make birthday cakes. They are always a disaster when I do…. but I think I MAY attampt decorating a simple round cake with a peace sign. It sounds easy enough but I’m sure I will find a way to ruin it. HA HA!!!! I’m pretty stoked about her party! I love when a theme fits a kid and you can just roll with it! As far as the invites go…. I found the tie-dye image and all three clip-art images online and just printed them up, punched them out and glued them on with pop-dots! Easy Peasy!

I’ve finally headed back to the gym this week! I’m pretty proud of myself for hitting it as hard as I have. When I say hard I mean “getting there”. LOL That’s the worst part! Once I’m there I actually don’t mind it. Plus, I’ve been working out with Renee so it’s A LOT easier and more motivating to have someone to help get you there! I hope to feel really good a again and shed a few pounds by my birthday in May!

Bailee had her Winter Choir performance last night at the High School which was awesome. I don’t know what it is about music but I always turn to mush when I hear good music. Doesn’t matter what kind. I found myself fighting the tears watching her perform. Not just cause she’s getting older but because I think I just have a soft spot in my heart for music in general. Last summer when we took a family vacation to Arizona and I sat down to play my Mom’s piano I think Shane was in shock that I actually knew how to play and never told him. I’m not very good. I haven’t played in years and only took lessons as a young girl but I hope one day to play again. Daily. To have a piano and music in our home all the time. Not only the kind of music you hear blaring thru all the ipods around here but good, soothing, uplifting music. LOL. Okay….. that was a total tangent! Sorry! HA!!!!

What else went on this week besides all the homework, indoor soccer, school reports, and trying to get some shut-eye??? Oh!!! I finally got the Christmas tree and decorations up! That takes a whole day by itself I swear! I didn’t put nearly as much out as I normally do. I am just not up for chasing off my 20 month old! HA!!!!

SilentNightHolyNightCard Well…. I’m off to drop Macey off at her friend’s house. I totally forgot to share this card I created for 2 Sketches 4 You a couple of weeks back. So I am posting it now. Lame-o that I spaced it! Life isn’t crazy or anything right now! HA HA HA!!!!! Speaking of crazy…. we are getting Kacie and Karlie this weekend so this house is about to get crazier! HA!!!!! Okay…. hope everyone has a great weekend! Keep warm! It’s been in the low 40’s this week! EEEEK!!! ♥ TOODLES! ♥

Can I just say that I totally dig the birthday card?! LOL It’s really cute. The Christmas card is pretty too. I love the solemness of it. Very sweet.

I’m proud of you for going to the gym. And BEFORE the first of the year! I’ve added a ‘few’ (not really a few, ugh) this year and am waiting to start the fitness goal again.

    Have a great weekend! =)
