It’s been all about the artwork today! You all know how much I love to get creative. Today I couldn’t help but notice all the creativity around me. I am surrounded by it…. LITERALLY! I will show you a few peeks at what I mean! But first…. I am excited to share this little Music Journal I made for Kacie today. She was soooo excited last week about making it into the honor “choir club” at school that I thought this would be a fun little “congrats” gift. She and Karlie are coming over in a little while so I can’t wait to give it to her! It has little tabs too so she has sections for Songs, Field Trips, Photos, and special Notes. I created the front of this little music journal based on this week’s sketch by Laura over at 2 Sketches 4 You!!! Love that cute little blog and all the inspiration over there!
Cassidy made this at school a few days ago and couldn’t wait to come home and share it with me! I’m not the most educated mom in the world. I’m not super “book smart” by any stretch of the imagination but I have picked up quite a few “street smarts” in my short “21″ years. HA HA!!! Anyway, I love that my girls have at least latched on to my creative side and hope it will always be this way. Then maybe if we’re lucky they will get their “book smarts” from their Dad and want to go to college as well!
Okay…. then there is this way cool project Macey made at school too! It’s all made from clay. It’s the ocean in a shoe box lid. They are studying the ocean and sealife in school right now. Check out her beach and umbrella and the people sun bathing! Toooo stinkin’ cute!!!!
Like I said… I am literally surrounded by creativity here at home. If it’s not my scrappy supplies or projects or albums… it’s my kids and their drawings and pictures everyday! I take it for granted sometimes I think. It’s just ALWAYS been a daily part of our lives around here so I forget how special it really is!!! This cute little Panda drawing is hanging on my wall in my scrappy space. Bailee has a CUTE t-shirt with something similar on it… blinged out with a little glitter! It made me smile when she drew a paper version of it to give me! SEE!!! My kids are inspired by their clothing too! LOL They are truly scrapbookers in training! Woot! Woot!
My sweet little three year old daycare girl Makenzie loves to watch me create things. Today I surprised her and asked if she wanted to make her Mama a card. You should have seen her face light up with excitement! So cute! I wish I could share the whole photo of her but I need to make sure it’s okay with her parents before I go posting her photo on my blog! LOL But here is her card she made! She got to pick everything out herself! I was super impressed that she did so well! How cute is this?
Okay…. I gotta run! More projects to work on and dinner to get started for 7 people tonight with Kacie and Karlie coming over! I have to share this last piece of art though that’s hanging in Bailee’s room! It warms my heart! I love that she asked if she could hang it up in there. It came out of the Children’s publication called the FRIEND that our church puts out. With my girls being “Lambs” by birthright… this picture gives them even MORE special meaning!
Okay… have a great week! Three-day weekend coming up! Woot! Woot! ![]()
