The countdown to the last day of school is on around here. Everyday now as I drive the girls to school they make sure to announce how many days they have left. I think it’s better than Christmas to them right now. They know that once school is out there’s only a little over a week until we leave for our family trip to Arizona. Can’t wait to go home! I’m not really sure who is more excited…. them or me! LOL So excited for everyone to see the kiddos and how much they’ve grown. Especially Brody. I’m already getting teased too cause I was pregnant when I left there and I am pregnant again for this visit back. But I keep assuring them it WON’T be happening again. HA!
So Shane had the end of the season soccer party for “Purple Thunder” on Saturday. This is Cassidy’s team that Shane coaches. Karlie played last season too. They were super excited to get their Trophies. Especially Cass…. it is her FIRST ONE EVER! I even got to scrap on Friday night and got this “Purple Thunder” layout done. I’m sooooo not good at scrapping sports pages. Hopefully I get better with practice.
I also got this layout started on Friday night. We were challenged for the Bo Bunny blog to scrap a layout with “MAY” in the title. As I was browsing thru my stash of photos I came across this silly picture of the girls with their cousins and knew EXACTLY what I would do! These papers are from the new Popsicle line and are super bright and playful. Perfect for this photo! You will want to get your hands on some!
So one more thing before I get going! I am super excited to finally have a scrapping buddy that only lives 10mins away! Renee has come over to scrap with me the last two Friday nights. Renee is actually my ex-husband’s wife and my girls’ step-mom. Some people think it’s strange that we are friends and get along or even scrap together for that matter but I am loving it. I grew up with parents & step-parents who did NOT get along and faught all the time with each other so I swore that I wouldn’t let that happen to my girls. Shane actually gets a long really well with my ex too. They work out together several times a week and even play XBOX together with our girls on the nights that Renee and I scrap. It’s been REALLY nice to finally have a scrapping buddy again!
Okay! I’m off to work on a “special assignment” for Bo Bunny! Can’t wait to share it with you eventually!

Cute soccer LO. I have that same soccer paper. But the team names are the Flaming Nachos and the Dolphins. LOL Can you imagine my layouts? =)

I know I’m slow in posting this, but I wanted to say that I don’t think it’s strange at all that you get along with the other step parents and exes and such… I think it’s fabulous! As a matter of fact, I get along great with my son’s step mom. My ex’s wife is a really nice lady and she’s a good parent to my son when she is around him. I don’t thin my ex likes it all that much, LOL… but I think he’s just scared I’ll tell his secrets, LOL!!! More power to ya.,

Shanna, I think it’s awesome that you guys get along so well with Tom and Renee and that you can hang out together. How great is that for the kids to see! I scrap every Friday night too, usually by myself. Sometimes, one or two friends will make the drive though. Wish you were still here. I didn’t know Tom moved there. After all the drama over you and the girls leaving Arizona and you all end up together in MS! Too funny!
