I work the graveyard shift. Yes. I. do.
While you all are busy in your REM stage or dreaming of crossing things off your “To-Do” lists for today I am sitting here at 4am in the morning blogging of all things while my little man stares up at me from his little bouncy chair. Wide-eyed and bushy-tailed!!! LOL As I was attending to our 3:30am feeding I was just looking at Brody thinking I needed to take some more photos of him. He is 3 weeks old now already! My mind was racing as I was thinking about the different cute outfits I could dress him up in and different ways I could stage the next photo shoot of him. Yah. That’s what I WAS thinking until it hit me…. What about now? I know it’s 4am in the morning. I know the lighting isn’t ideal or perfect. I know he’s sitting here in his PJ’s but all of those factors combined IS PERFECT. I think I catch myself too often caught up in the whole “need the perfect photo” mindset and I miss out on so much of my kids’ lives doing that. I need to focus more on the “Here & Now” and “Day-to-Day” photos that will mean so much more in 20 years from now as we look back on these times. I mean seriously. This is REAL. This is my REALITY with little Brody right now. Him and I bonding mostly between the hours of 11pm and 11am everyday as he still has his nights and days mixed up. Now as I look through these photos of him I just took…. I get chills and tear up those “proud mama” tears as I think about the opportunity I almost missed with my little guy just hanging out being him. Doing what he’s supposed to at 3 weeks old. Waking his Mommy up at all haneous hours of the night. I’m glad. Cause I think these are going to be my new favorite shots of him. Jammies and all.

I loved it when baby #6 woke up in the middle of the night! That meant that I had to share her with NO ONE!!!! LMBO!! Seriously, I took a few pics of her one night and now I wish I had taken more. Enjoy that cute boy. He’s a sweetie.

Such a Cuttie! Make sure you always take photos even if you only took them 5 minutes ago. They grow so fast! The smallest moments are the most important! I have 4 and they are 15, 15, 14, and 11! I just don’t know where the time has gone! PS Just wanted to say your blog inspires me everday!
