22 hours til FREEDOM!!!

This has been a rough week. I am PMS-ing AGAIN!!! Can I have two good weeks a month? Please? I am counting down til FREEDOM again. The girls go to Tom’s this weekend. It’s been a rough week with my kids. Not my daycare kiddos….they are always so good for me. But my own kids? Why does a mom have to ask their child to do something 99 times before it actually happens??? I don’t get it. I didn’t do that to my Mom….no way….I was perfect for her. (good thing Mom doesn’t read my blog!) Anyhoo…..I am excited to get this weekend underway! It’s starting with a crop at my house tomorrow night with the MAS group. Oh…..MAS stands for Mutual Admiration Society. Michelle’s husband Peter came up with that one……pure genius. We were scrapping at her place many moons ago and Peter I guess commented how we are always drooling over each other’s scrapbook pages and saying “HOW CUTE!” they are. He said we should call ourselves the Mutual Admiration Society. CLASSIC. It stuck. Correct me if I am wrong on how that went down Michelle. I am excited to be scrapping with these girls….it’s been waaaaaaaaay too long. Okay…..off to tell my girls to get into bed 12 times before it happens. Peace!

*******EDITED FOR YOU MOMS WITH SMALL CHILDREN. So I am having the issues this week with my kids not listening to me right? I went into all that…….last night after I had already made this post Bailee, my oldest was calling me from her bedroom. It was WELL after bedtime so it was probably excuse #73 in the book of ways for kids to avoid bedtime. I ignored her. I got to thinking about how many times she hasn’t listened to me this week when I have asked her to do something…….PERFECT TIME FOR AN OBJECT LESSON. She must have called after me at LEAST 15 times or more and was nearly in tears when I finally went in (at least 30 mins later) to see what she wanted. At this point her first concern was “Mom, Why aren’t you listening to me?!?!?!?” (in the most dramatic moan possible) What? She forgot what she wanted in the first place? Imagine that!!! Now the subject was how I was ignoring her. Well……..I think she got the point finally. It sucks when you are trying to communicate (something I’m not the best at anyway) to someone and they just don’t listen. Live and learn. :)

Hope you have an awesome weekend Shanna! I’m not sure how you do it really! I can’t imagine raising my girls by myself. My hats off to you for doing such a great job of it!
I am pretty sure a MAS is what I need ..I am getting a little bit of a complex from being around people who don’t even know what chatterbox is :( …well maybe. I am pretty sure I have some sort of complex to begin with.
I too was a perfect child…I never talked back, broke curfew or disobeyed her. I mean having the baby at 15 was nothing really….right?????

It’s so funny that you posted this because I swore I had the only kids that didn’t listen to me the first 99 times. UGH!!! It’s been a rough week here and I’m in that “why can’t I appreciate my kids” mood. See, there I go feeling guilty again.

Have a great scrappin’ night! I’m off to clean up the the pile of hair I’ve amassed from pulling it out all week…lol
