2 weeks down…4 to go!

scootersresize Today has been two whole weeks since the girls left to see their Dad in Charlotte. I MISS THEM LIKE CRAZY!!!! We have talked on the phone all but a few of those days. Today was the first time I’ve had to help dry up some tears. I thought Cassidy would be the one missing me to the point of crying but it’s been Bailee & Macey. It’s hard to be strong and talk them through it when sometimes all I want to do is cry right along with them. But they are being strong and brave. I was able to tell them that they have a surprise package coming in the mail (good timing) that should make them smile! I had just picked up a few little cheap things last night and am sticking it in the mail tonight after work. Anyhoo…..It’s weird not having them here and I am grateful I don’t have to get used to it! This photo is one that Tom emailed to me of them riding their scooters in the rain. They look happy……and that makes me happy.

Happy Hump Day everyone!!! :)

When my mom was overseas I wondered why she cried with me, now that I am a mother I can only imagine the pain of not seeing your children everyday like you’re used to. Be strong, like you said; atleast you dont have to get used to it! And how anyone could is beyond me!

I so know what you are going through!! My dd has been at her dad’s in Vegas for almost a full month, I’ll get her back on Sunday!! I can’t wait!! I told her she couldn’t be gone for that long again…my ds(16yrs)decided to move back and live with his dad..:( I’ve been staying busy by catching up on all seasons of 24!! Gotta love Jack Bauer…;)

That has to be so hard. I’m glad you get pictures of them sent to you though. It’s good to see that they are having a fun time.

I know it’s so hard for you and the girls, but it’s good to see them having fun scootering in the rain. My sisters kids are in Tennessee and have been there for the whole school year. They will be coming here in a few days for the summer. I miss them like crazy and I’m only their aunt, so I can’t imagine if I were the mother. Well I can imagine since my son is in Afghanistan and that is horrible, but little kids would be so difficult.
When and why are you moving from here?

I can only imagine having my kiddo’s away from me for that long. You are a strong woman! They really do look like they are happy and having a good time. Before you know it the next 4 weeks will be over and they will be back with you and time for a normal routine! ;)
    Good luck!
